SAPS Arrest Seven Suspects in Polokwane Ice Cream Factory Robbery
The South African Police Service (SAPS) successfully apprehended seven suspects linked to a business robbery at the Ice Cream Factory in the Polokwane CBD on Monday, 3 November 2025. The operation, described by authorities as intelligence-driven, resulted in arrests within an hour of the incident.
Police recovered four firearms loaded with live ammunition, stolen goods, and a white Audi S3 reportedly used during the robbery. The suspects are now facing charges of business robbery, possession of illegal firearms and ammunition, and possession of stolen goods.

The arrested individuals are scheduled to appear before the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 5 November 2025. SAPS stated that further investigations are underway to determine whether the suspects are linked to additional business robberies in Limpopo, Gauteng, and Mpumalanga.
Authorities highlighted that the swift arrests were the result of coordinated, intelligence-led policing, demonstrating the SAPS commitment to rapid response and public safety in the region.
The operation underscores ongoing efforts by the SAPS to enhance partnership policing and combat organised crime across multiple provinces.
