ANC Reaffirms Solidarity with Palestine in Meeting with Palestinian Ambassador

Yesterday, the African National Congress (ANC) hosted a high-level meeting between its 1st Deputy Secretary-General, Nomvula Mokonyane, and members of the ANC’s International Relations Subcommittee with the Palestinian Ambassador to South Africa, H.E. Ambassador Hanan Jarrar.

The engagement focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and providing humanitarian support to the Palestinian people. ANC officials reiterated the party’s long-standing commitment to the principle of self-determination and its unwavering solidarity with Palestine in the face of ongoing humanitarian and political challenges.

During the meeting, discussions included potential avenues for humanitarian assistance, development collaboration, and diplomatic engagement, reflecting the ANC’s emphasis on international solidarity and support for communities facing conflict and displacement.

The ANC highlighted that its international relations initiatives aim to promote peace, social justice, and human rights, consistent with the party’s historical role in global liberation and solidarity movements.
